Following your replacement glass installation:



 

·        Leave a window open slightly for 48 hours to reduce pressure on the windshield.

·        Don’t drive your vehicle for at least one hour. If possible, you should not drive your vehicle for six hours.

·        Don’t roll down a replaced window for at least 48 hours.

·        Don’t use a sunshade in a replaced windshield for at least 24 hours.

·        Don’t use a high-pressure car wash for at least 48 hours.


 

 

How do I know if the damage can be repaired?

What is the difference between OEM and NAGS glass?
We install OEM-equivalent auto glass. This means that it is essentially the same piece of glass that is installed at the time your vehicle is made, with the only difference being the windshield manufacturer.

Our glass meets or exceeds all federal, industry and safety standards, and we engage in some of the most rigorous product testing in the industry.

 

Will you replace the stickers on my windshield?
Our technicians will remove all affixed stickers and items from your windshield for easy application to the new piece of glass.

 

How long will my repair or replacement take?
Windshield replacements will often take 60 minutes or less, however, you should not drive the vehicle for at least one hour after service is completed.  Repairs can be completed within 30 minutes.

 

My rear view mirror is attached to my windshield. Will the technician attach it to the new windshield?
Yes, our technicians will remove your rear view mirror and attach it to your new windshield prior to completing your service.

 

Will the chip or crack still be visible after the repair has been completed?
A windshield chip or crack repair is used to prevent further damage to your glass and to restore the structural integrity of the vehicle.  Slight imperfections may be visible.

 

How soon can the job be completed?
Service can often be scheduled the same day/next day.

 

Will I have to wait with my vehicle?
No - your car keys should be made available for the technician to access the interior and remove/install glass.

 

Will the technician call me before he/she comes?
Yes, if requested the technician will call prior to arriving to complete your service.

 

How does the repair process work?
Performing a windshield repair is a process that involves cleaning and treating the damage with specially designed resins and tools. In many cases, the damage can be repaired by one of our trained technicians in less than 30 minutes.
